50 Cent Talks Social Media, Animal Ambition Album And Explain Missing Son’s Graduation Again
Last week, Marquise Jackson, the son of rapper 50 Cent took to his Facebook to express the hurt and pain he felt, because his father didn’t show up for his high school graduation. Fifty caught the backlash from fans and people online who was upset that he didn’t have the decency to show for his own son’s graduation.
Days later, 50 Cent took to social media to explain why he didn’t show up and gave the excuse that he didn’t receive an invitation, which many thought was a lame excuse, especially for a high profile rapper who have resources to find secret information on his enemies, but can’t find the date and time of a high school graduation and buy an invite, any parent would have probably gave up their invitation for $5,000 or $3,000 or $1,000 or $500 or $250 — which is peanuts to the multi-millionaire.
Fifty joined 106th & Park to discuss the pros and cons of social media. He also took time to explain why he missed his son’s graduation ceremony in Atlanta and offered the same excuse again. Lastly, he came out to promote his new album Animal Ambition, which is slated for a June 3, 2014 release date.
Fif may have made bad parenting mistakes, but he’s only a product of his own upbringing. 50 didn’t have a mother or father growing up, so he don’t realize the importance of good parenting. Give the man a break! He’s made mistakes and I’m sure he’ll make plenty more, but don’t let his mistakes overshadow the good he’s done in hip hop. Go out and support Fifty, buy his album.
